PostSubject: Beths Story   2/8/2007, 5:09 pm

I was on facebook, and Beth had a new note that she wrote.

I knew she was close to being there, but.... Wow Thank God.

Here her story is..>
... I was so close.... I am still in shock right now.

I cannot really tell this story without being blown away by God's hand of protection... but here goes.

Yesterday morning my coworker was an hour late to work because his car broke down. He eventually got it to a dealership and got a ride to work from one of the mechanics. When he found out that the car would not be ready until tomorrow, he asked if I could give him a ride home this evening. No problem, I said. Work is done at 6. We were in my car in the parking lot about five minutes before 6. The route that he takes home every day is across the 35 W bridge. We sat and talked back and forth over which route we should take. I said 35 W, but then remembered that there was some construction along the way. He insisted that it was still faster than taking an alternate route. Back and forth for a couple minutes, and then I said, let's just take 35. We were ready to pull out, when he said, no, we should take 280. So we did. We were leaving the parking lot at 5:58. It takes about 7 minutes to get to that bridge from work. The bridge went down at 6:05. You do the math.

After I got home from dropping him off I was cleaning the house when he called me and said, "Turn on the TV." I did and what I saw shocked me. Then he said the words that were already coming out of my mouth. "We would have been on that bridge.

All I can say is... thank you God for a last minute change of plans. Please keep the Twin Cities in your prayers.
